finding the time to sit a write a blog has seemed almost impossible the past few weeks. I haven't yet finished the first Blog. But like always I’m trying to perfect and improve it. When actually I should just get out of trying to be an academic and write the damn thing. After all I just want to share with you a beautiful place that we’d visited. I’m not expecting you to red pen my blogs… saying that. there are many people who read on-line posts that appear on various online platforms who criticise the hell out people’s use of English and vocabulary … like they feel that they have a right to criticise, judge and tick off… anyway, that’s another blog for another time!
I’ve been so busy because I’ve been nursing my father-in-law at home. On the 13th of September he peacefully passed away. Simon and I held his hand as he took his last breaths. Dad has left a massive hole in our hearts and in our lives but we both feel so glad to have had the privilege of being able to make Dad’s last few weeks happy in his family home. Knowing that he felt loved, wanted and valued was our only mission and we’re happy to say we succeeded.
Rest in peace Dad 🕊
Recent events have changed my whole existence. I’ve been forced to re-evaluate my way forward … my plan was to complete my PhD while caring for Dad but now I need that fill that hole.
I’m planning on concentrating on my writing...
I’m in contact with the Kinship charity, we’re discussing how the Mimi books can help the charity and how the charity can help with achieving the books main objective, which is to help normalise children living in a non-conventional family unit. I’ll keep you updated.
Haze has started work on the second book too ..
These Blogs should also help me to complete my memoir and hopfully keep me focused and grounded. Haze as already started work on the art work for my memoir so I need to get my arse into gear … 🤭
